New construction and additions are where drywall work is most visible, because there is no existing finish to hide behind. A whole wall of fresh rock under raking window light will show every seam that was not floated properly. We finish to the level the job actually calls for and we do not hide a rushed float under heavy texture.

Finish levels, in plain terms
Drywall is finished to a graded standard, and the right grade depends on what is going on top of it and how much light will hit it. A garage that is getting a flat paint does not need what a great room with a wall of west-facing glass needs. A smooth level 5 finish, where the entire surface is skim coated, is the only thing that reliably holds up under a sheen or under harsh side light. We will tell you which level the job needs and quote it honestly rather than quoting low and letting the painter deal with it.
Working alongside your other trades
On new builds we coordinate around electrical, plumbing and HVAC rough-in so nothing gets closed up before it has been inspected. If you are managing the build yourself, we will tell you what we need and when we need it, and we will give you a realistic number of days rather than an optimistic one that pushes everyone behind.
